Upcoming PhD Course: High Throughput Field Phenotyping and Vegetation Mapping
PheNo and Photosyntech, in collaboration with the NOVA University Network, are pleased to announce the 2026 PhD course: “High Throughput Field Phenotyping and Vegetation Mapping.” As sensor technologies and remote sensing rapidly transform modern plant breeding, this course offers students a comprehensive introduction to the latest phenotyping tools and UAV-based data collection. Participants will gain hands-on experience with hyperspectral, multispectral, and thermal imaging, learning how to acquire and process data to evaluate genotype-to-phenotype relationships under real field conditions. This course is ideal for researchers looking to bridge the gap between advanced imaging technology and practical biological questions.
Details about the course can be found at the NMBU website: High Throughput Field Phenotyping and Vegetation Mapping | NMBU
- When: June 29 – July 3, 2026
- Where: NMBU Campus, Ås, Norway
- Credits: 5 ECTS
- Registration Deadline: May 31, 2026 (Register here)
This is a joint Photosyntech and NOVA-funded PhD course to be held physically at NMBU in Ås.
