Nordic PhD course in plant imaging and phenotyping in Tromsø, Norway
Place: UiT The Arctic University of Norway
Content:
- Lectures 10 h: by Markku Keinänen, UEF, Finland.
- Practical labs 24 h: Imaging of plant stress symptoms with TraitFinder multispectral 3D scanner, hyperspectral and thermal cameras. Two days for practising of computational data processing of the results.
- Participants will prepare a seminar presentation of chosen research paper related to their research topic.
- Participants will also write a report of the practical part of the course and an additional homework.

Monday 2.11.
- Lectures at UiT campus and guiding for the seminars and written homework 8:15 – 16:00
- Student seminars at UiT campus 9:00 –15:00
Tuesday 3.11.
- Phenotyping & imaging experimental analyses at Climate laboratory 9:00-16:00
Wednesday 4.11.
- Lectures and practising of computational data processing of the results at UiT campus 8:15 – 16:00
- Joint pizza event in the evening
Thursday 5.11.
- Lectures and practising of computational data processing of the results at UiT campus 8:15 – 16:00
Friday 6.11
- Student seminars at UiT campus 9:00 –15:00
Course is free for Nordic PhD students. NordPheno project can cover travel costs of few selected Nordic PhD students. Maximum amount of participants is 20.
