🌿 PheNo at the Norwegian Plant Biology Conference 2026
PheNo participated in the Norwegian Plant Biology Conference (NPBC) 2026 in Bodø, contributing to a vibrant gathering of researchers, students, and infrastructure partners from across Norway. The conference brought together the national plant science community for three days of scientific exchange, collaboration, and inspiration.
Our contribution
PheNo was strongly represented throughout the conference, both scientifically and organisationally. As a sponsor, we hosted a dedicated stand where participants could learn more about our infrastructure, services, and ongoing activities. Our team contributed to the scientific programme through:
- Scientific posters — highlighting ongoing phenotyping activities across controlled environments, field platforms, and seed imaging workflows.
- Oral presentations — showcasing our infrastructure, capabilities, and current research collaborations with national and international partners.
- Active discussions — engaging with the community on plant imaging, data workflows, and future research needs in high‑throughput phenotyping.

Together, these contributions helped strengthen national collaboration and increase awareness of the growing phenotyping network supported by PheNo and NordPheno.
The conference provided an excellent arena to connect with colleagues working in plant biology, breeding, physiology, and environmental sciences. It also strengthened ties with national partners involved in phenotyping, imaging technologies, and data-driven plant research.

A great atmosphere for collaboration
NPBC 2026 offered a warm and engaging environment, with high-quality talks, poster sessions, and plenty of opportunities for networking. The strong interest in plant phenotyping and digital tools reflects the growing importance of data-rich approaches in Norwegian plant science.
We are grateful for the inspiring conversations and the opportunity to present PheNo’s work to a broad scientific audience.

Looking ahead
PheNo will continue supporting the Norwegian research community with advanced phenotyping infrastructure, training, and collaborative opportunities. We look forward to building on the momentum from NPBC and strengthening national partnerships in the months ahead. Building on this strong foundation, we are preparing for the next chapter. NMBU is honoured to host the Norwegian Plant Biology Conference in 2028, and we look forward to welcoming the community to Ås.
Excited to meet many of you again at NMBU in 2028!
