PheNo Data Day

PheNo Data Day at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) Gjøvik on the 28th of November

The PheNo team gathered at NTNU Gjøvik for a dedicated PheNo Data Day, bringing together partners to discuss key aspects of data handling within the Norwegian Plant Phenotyping Infrastructure.
The brainstorming sessions focused on:

  • Data obtained from PheNo activities
  • Data storage solutions
  • Data management strategies
  • Data integration and processing workflows

The event provided an excellent platform for aligning on current practices, identifying challenges, and exploring new approaches for efficient data stewardship across the infrastructure.

We were also pleased to hear valuable insights from ELIXIR representatives and our PheNo team, including Federico Bianchini, Thomas Bawin, Morten Lillemo, Wissem Nouir, Gabriel Marques, as well as the PheNo-NTNU team.

PheNo – team had the opportunity to visit the Visual Information Processing (VIP) Lab, ColorLab, and the IoT Lab at the NTNU. The visit offered valuable insights into the cutting-edge technologies and ongoing research across imaging, color science, and sensor-driven innovation. It was an exciting opportunity for the PheNo team to see firsthand the impressive work underway at our partner institutions and to explore new possibilities for collaboration.

The day turned out to be both memorable and highly constructive. Through focused discussions and joint problem-solving, we were able to take an important step forward in shaping consistent, harmonized solutions for PheNo’s data handling and processing.
